Music Production & DJ Experience
I've been producing music & DJing since 1999. As Scotty Boombox & half of the Ocean Ghosts, I have performed on stage over 200 times in my career, playing in venues like the Schottenstein Center, Newport Music Hall and Madison Theater, opening for international acts like Journey, Toto, Hugh Jackman, GirlTalk, Killah Priest of the Wu-Tang Clan, Crystal Castles, Sneaker Pimps, Wesley Willis, The ECC and more- in more than 15 major cities in the US. The music on this page is a selection of "greatest hits," from recent remixes, DJ residencies, samples from my 3 solo albums, and the 4 albums that I created with J Rhodes as the duo Ocean Ghosts.

Remixes & Turntablism
I love the nightlife. I got to boogie.
Solo Albums
Here is a selection from each of my solo albums: A Mime & A Thief (2014), Street Dentistry (2004), and Home Schooled (2002).
"Good DJs create new songs by splicing and dicing pieces of existing music in unique ways. Columbus’ Scotty Boombox has taken this technique a step further, completely blurring the line between deejaying and songwriting. Sampling his own guitars and keyboards and programming his own beats, the multi-instrumentalist’s music falls somewhere between pure turntablism and old-fashioned song craft" - Columbus Alive, April 2003.

Ocean Ghosts (Scotty Boombox & J Rhodes)
Ocean Ghosts was the American two-man boy band that delivered a powerful spectacle of inspirational party music from 2005 to 2012. Below is one song from each of the Ocean Ghosts' 4 albums: Die On Top (2011), American Pride (2008), Pepperoni Lovers (2007), and Stars & Stripes Forever (2006). OG was described by the press as "BRILLIANT" (The Other Paper), "AHEAD OF THEIR TIME" (The Alive), "LIKING THEM BECOMES A BADGE OF HONOR" (The News Sun), & "4-STARS" (Alternative Press).
